If Only a Lego,Stick,Ballon or Sword could fix it

Things to be misreable about when your Mac AND your husbands' Mac breaks:
1-No Papyrus font
2-No Adobe Lightroom [no editing photos]
3-No iPhoto
4-No helpful spellcheck
5-No computer all day while your husbands PC is at work with him
6-No blog reading [aside from on your phone]
7-Less frequent blogging yourself
8-Another trip to the Apple Store [hour away]
9-Possibly losing last months photos that weren't backed up yet
10-Husband laughing at your list

Okay, I'll move on now.

We enjoyed our three day weekend. Charles mom [Brenda] & step dad [Ted] were driving across country and stopped in to see us & the kids. We went to the park, The Green, The Ohio Renassiance Festival, grilled out by the pool with our neighboors, played Wii, and went to Cincinatti to the mall.

Last night, I went to Wal-Mart to buy another baby gate for our playroom [because Nation drop kicked the other one]. I had to steer clear of the toy aisles because I just want to buy everything for my kids. Even steering clear of those aisles I managed to pick up some things in sporting goods, linens & baby section for them. I can't help it. Well that's not true, I could, but I don't want to. I love to buy them things. Way more than I love buying things for me I love to buy things for them.
Maybe it's the baby weight that's helped me loose interest over the last 4 years in clothes shopping, or maybe it's just that I adore seeing their faces light up more at a new toy than buying myself another top. I don't know.
Either way, it got me thinking. If I enjoy giving to my kids this much...how much more does our Heavenly Father enjoy giving things to us? No, it's not all about gifts, but I'm not just talking material things.

I'm talking about how much does He adore to give. Just give.
He gave. Like no one else could.
And He still gives.

If I took away anything from this weekend it was that. How much He loves to see my face light up. No...He won't give me everything I want because that wouldn't be good for me, but He will give me everything he knows I need. And maybe a little more sometimes.
Something extra...He sees at the end of an aisle He knows I'd light up over.
