Grand Canyon

Months ago when I asked Charles what he wanted to do for his 30th birthday he told me he wanted to go to The Grand Canyon. I laughed at the airfare for two, hotel and car rental prices and then asked him, "So would you rather just have a big party instead?"

He still wanted to go.

However, with our closing and moving date [or so we thought] and all the expenses it just didn't seem feasible. However, God had a special birthday surprise for his son. Charles got offered a short two week job working at a data center in Vegas. Which included his airfare, hotel and car rental. His project ended the day before his birthday so I flew out late Saturday night and spent his birthday with him at The Grand Canyon.

Just like he had wanted.

God worked out all the expenses, and Sunday [on his 30th Birthday] we drove 5 hours from Vegas and stayed at a little lodge inside the park.

We got there just in time to see the sunset over The Grand Canyon and have a nice little dinner. We woke up the next morning and took another walk along the Canyon and then headed back from Vegas.
