Thankful This Week For:
1-Last Minute Datenight Last Week
We hadn't been out on a date since right after our anniversary in August. We finally found a babysitter, a local Christian mommy, who is also a friend of a friend from GA.
On our date we went to a nice dinner and to see The Social Network. The movie theater had a sports bar & grill, lounge, Starbucks, hot dog vendor, Ben & Jerry's, and reclining seats! Did I mention we got free tickets? I complained mentioned the theater was accidentally not cleaned up after the previous movie and they gave us free tickets!
3-Turtle Mocha
Just when I thought I didn't like coffee...I tried this on our date night. This "coffee" is made of Guittard dark chocolate melted into steamed milk and then combined with expresso & caramel syrup, finished with whipped cream and snicker bits. [Do not read the calories, repeat, do not]
4-Laughing At Dinner With My Husband
We were enjoying each others company without anyone spilling a drink, throwing a fork [or fit], or extra potty breaks just-as-the-food-comes. We were reminiscing when we first met and started dating. His perspective+Mine= good memories.
5-A Month Left
As much as I've loved the Dayton area, we have just about a month left here. I'm excited to see my friends and family weekly.
6-Going To Bed Earlier
[Even if it's on accident] Charles & I totally fell asleep the other night on the couch at 8:30 after we put the kids to sleep. Solomon waking up at 5 & 6 am this week might have something to do with this. And I suppose it cuts down on calorie intake between 10pm-1am.
7-Baby Food & Homeschooling
A husband that's so excited about both he helps me with these in the evenings. Even though Nation's only in Pre-K, he helps me some nights by [re]quizzing Nation and scooping baby food into jars.
They are really helping motivate the kids to help around the house.
9-Surviving Port-A-Potty Fall Break
We went to our favorite park this week and just as we got their [a little too late because I forgot about the getting dark earlier dealo] Nation had to go #2. No sweat, I'm only holding the baby, ordering Pizza on the phone and watching Solomon, but sure let's go over to the Port-A-Potty...
...oh wait, it's gone...where did it go? Super, Awesome, I guess he's only there for the Summer. No worries, we'll all walk over to that church over there and go there...closed.
Okay, let's walk over to Taco Bell and go there.
[Insert picture of me and three kids in the bathroom for 20 minutes waiting for Nation to finish what he's already started in his underwear]
[Insert picture of us leaving with no victory, but lots of germs]
Then I got lost going to pizza place, then they only took cash, then I had to go to an ATM, but didn't know my new pin [again], then I had to go back to the car and get it off my phone. In process, Nation commented on my [accidental] side ponytail "Mom you need to fix your hair."
However, this local pizza turned out to be the most amazing pizza I've had in a long time.
