Chicago: Building Architecture

Here are 32 of my favorite pictures of buildings from Chicago. I didn't want to overload the other posts with these shots and thought they deserved a post of their own anyways.

If I had to describe the architecture[ genius] of this city in one word it would be:
DETAIL

You see detail in everything from street light fixtures to church steeples. Everywhere you turn buildings are full of ornate & well thought design. The colors, textures and lines are breath taking.

I've never been one to admire structures, but this city's aesthetic collision of old and new buildings changed that for me.

The Oriental Theater

Solider Field Stadium

John Hancock Building

Aqua [tallest building built by a woman: Jeanne Gang]
